PRACTICAL LEGAL INFORMATION
Preparing for a Virtual Tribunal Proceeding
A virtual proceeding still requires the same careful preparation as an in-person event. The notice from the tribunal and its current rules control the format, timing and filing requirements.
- Read the notice carefully and confirm the date, time, connection instructions and time zone.
- Test your camera, microphone, internet connection and backup telephone option in advance.
- Arrange a private, quiet location and keep your filed documents easy to access.
- Request an accommodation or a change of format as early as possible when needed.
Contact the specific tribunal promptly if you cannot connect or if your participation needs change.
